One of my users called – couldn’t open a database as exclusive, no matter what. I sent her LDB.VIEW which indicated a user was still logged on. She looked, but couldn’t find any LDB file. It turned out to be a PC that was disconnected from the network three weeks ago — after she connected the PC, and opened and closed the database, she was able to open it as exclusive.

Anyone ever hear of this happening in Access 2000? Wonder what we could have done if the old PC was no longer available to open the database?

    Thanks,

    Randy

Could it be that the LDB file was there, but not visible to your user? I say this as it is possible to set windows up to hide system files from the average user.
