In VBA or automation, how can get an image or thumbnail for any given single page in a Word document? Better yet, for any given Range.

If you install the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer, available from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982760, you can simply ‘print’ to that. See, for example: http://www.microsoft-questions.com/microsoft/Word-VBA/32193997/save-word-doc-in-tiff-format–using-vb6-script-to.aspx
