Hi. I’ve been using Windows Live Mail for a few months now on a regular basis and noticed one glaring feature missing that I really need. Using OE6 I used to be able to select a message and go to tools and select “create a new rule from this message” and it would automatically insert the address of the sender and all I had to do is chose how I wanted that message handled. Please tell me there a way to do this in WLM?? If not, it would be par for the course in software developement to omit one of the most useful aspects of a program in the upgrade. 🙂

    Thanks

In the Inbox in WLM, click on Folders. The Message Rules option is the last icon on the right. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. I’m aware how to create new message rules but what I really want is to create new rules on the fly, mainly from the current message selected, not having to manually type it in sort of like “create new from message” feature that was in OE6. I seriously don’t think this is possbile though.
