I am looking to develop a database program for logging contest entries in ham radio. I have never taken on a project like this before.
The program should automatically prompt for input and then check against previous entries.
There is lots more to explain but this is a starting point.
    Thanks,
    Tim

      So what was your question?

Step #1: Take an Access training course (or two) to learn how to use Access.

I am looking at different types of database creation now.
One is for MS Access another is SQL.
        Thanks for all your suggestions.

SQL is not a database – it stands for Structured Query Language. Microsoft SQL Server is a database that contains SQL in the name – so is mySQL.

Have you got anything started in a spreadsheet which you could post, to give an idea of the complexity?

BTW theres 6 db’savailable from here , all with source code, one of them might be a good starting point. At least you will see what can be done.
