When opening the form in the database, at the lower end of the screen aree seen the icons of the database, and the form being opened. When one clicks on these icons one could easily have an access to the whole database, tables, queries, etc. How can i avoid this hapenning ?

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 23, 2007 at 9:12 am #1053068Thank you Hans. When i check out the options in the startup form then i get a well designed window without toolbars. There remains only one toolbar, may be this is the main toolbar namely File- Edit-Insert-Records- Window-Help
can i remove also this toolbar, and get an interface without any toolbars at all ? -

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 23, 2007 at 9:24 am #1053073If you clear the check boxes for “Allow full menus” and “Allow built-in toolbars”, you will only have a shortened menu bar. You can design a custom menu bar to replace the shortened menu bar. This will be stored in the database and it will automatically replace the built-in one.
– Select Tools | Customize…
– Activate the Toolbars tab.
– Click New…
– Enter a name, for example My Menu, and click OK.
– Make sure that the name of the new toolbar selected in the list.
– Click Properties.
– Change the type from Toolbar to Menu Bar.
– Click OK.
– Drag the new menu bar to the top of the Access window.
– If you wish, you can leave the new menu bar blank, but I would add at least a File menu to it, or a Quit button.
– Close the Customize dialog.
– Open each form and report in turn in design view, and set the Menu Bar property to the name if your custom menu bar. (in the Other tab of the Properties window).
