I wasn’t sure which forum would suit this question as it involves Access automation and Outlook. I want to automate sending email using Outlook 2000 and 2003 (2 different users) from an Access database but I must be sure encryption is turned on. If I had never sent sensitive data without encrypting accidentally I would just hold the user responsible, but I know how easily if can happen. How can I check Outlook and verify the encryption software is enabled?

We are using PC Guardian Encryption Plus.

I don’t know if this will help, but you can try looping through the olApp.COMAddins collection (where olApp is your Outlook.Application object), and look at the ProgID property of each COMAddin to see if it is your encryption add-in and at the Connect property to see if it is enabled.
