Disable I.E. Shortcut Keys (Version 7)

This might be a little out-there in terms of requests, but does anyone have any clue how to go about disabling the Internet Explorer shortcuts? The one that’s annoying me most is CTRL+B, which incessantly prompts me to organize my favorites, and locks up my browser until I close it. I often hit this one while typing very fast…)

I suspect it’s part of the app itself, however if anyone has any idea how to disable it, I’d greatly appreciate it.

As far as I know that is not possible in general. The keyboard shortcuts are built into the application and can’t be controlled by a registry setting or policy.

That’s what I figured… Perhaps a plugin exists to manage it. If I find a solution, I’ll post back here.

You could try using something like AutoHotkey – Free Mouse and Keyboard Macro Program with Hotkeys and AutoText to change the behavior.

Very interesting piece of software. I’ll advise as to whether it can intercept this rather annoying sequence of keystrokes in I.E.
