Why is it, if you are in a Word document and click File, Send (it opens an email message w/the doc attached) but you’re not ready to send the message yet, so you select Close (prompts you to save…YES) that it does not go into the ‘Drafts’ folder but rather your Inbox? Drafts is the folder I have set up to save unsent messages in. Any ideas?

AskWoody LoungerMarch 4, 2003 at 11:23 pm #658724Same with Excel, and that’s not all. If you have a default (as I do) NOT to save Sent items, and an active Rule to save sent items to a PST Folder, any item sent by using the “Send To” capabilities in Office will end up in the Sent Folder, and -also- the Rule is applied. So I get ’em twice.
I don’t have a solution, but do I experience the problem.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 19, 2003 at 3:07 pm #662294And here’s another annoyance.
In my corporate installation with Exchange Server I have a Rule to copy all Sent items to a Folder in my PST, and I have UNchecked the “Save Sent messages to Sent folder” option (wherever that option is). BUT if I send to an invalid internal address and get the Server generated Mail message option to Resend the bounced message, when I Resend my Rule is ignored and my UNchecked “Save Sent messages to Sent folder” option is ignored.
Once again, Bill forces us to do what he wants, not what we want.
