• Embedding music in Excel Worksheets

Good day ladies & gents. I have a little question-ette for you. Is there any way of embedding an .MP3 file into an Excel worksheet whereby it will play without opening up a separate media player window? I can get it to work with .WAVs but the file sizes are a little large for my purposes.

Running Office XP & 2003 Pro on Windows XP & Vista respectively.

    Thanks in advance.

I don’t think so – Windows can play .wav sounds without using an external program (you can assign .wav sounds to various Windows events in the Sound control panel) but .mp3 is not a ‘native’ file type.

      As I suspected unfortunately.

      Thanks Hans.
