error code 43 usb unknowned device

The other day I updated my maps on Garmin GPS. I forgot to safely remove hardware and now I have a usb error. (unknown device) Windows has disabled this usb connection. I will get a pop up telling me this ever so often. What should I do to correct this error(code 43). Thanks, Dale

Try uninstalling your USB controllers in device manager and then rebooting. The controllers should automatically reinstall.

It may also erspond to simply unplugging and reinserting all your USB devices. Worked for me.

I had this issue and spend quite a bit of time trying to figure it out. Funny thing was, everything worked, so I wasn’t too worried about it. But it did bug me. So I kept trying to correct the issue. I read somewhere that in some cases this problem can be fixed by just unplugging and reinserting all USB devices. That’s all it took in my case. All is good now.
