Running a utility “What’s my computer doing.” Shows in real time access to hard drive by various software and services. Handy. But where are lists of error codes? For example, I get
    #error2 2004 127
    #error2 1268 127

And a couple of others. Near as I can tell it is a “file not found” error. But I can’t find a list anywhere that goes beyond that to which program or service is running, and which file is missing.

    Any ideas?

Hi – Have you tried Sysinternals Suite, especially its Process Explorer, Process Monitor, and AutoRuns?

Okay. Good idea. Process Explorer gives me, I think, which program is calling a file. But so far haven’t figured which file they are calling (2 of them apparently or Zone Alarm functions) that apparently cannot be found. I’ll keep playing. Have to get another copy of Process Monitor — my copy won’t actually function.

I am getting the same kind of errors you did a couple of years ago.
Don’t see a resolution. Ever figured out what was going on?

        Anyone ran into similar errors?
(Running sysinternals does not do much for me, I have no clue what to look for)
I checked the event viewer, nothing to get excited about.
        Thanks,
        Radu
