The error is not consistent, but I have tried multiple times to post replies or edit a reply without success.

This problem seems to have resolved for me. Is anyone else seeing it?

I experienced exactly that just a couple of minutes ago when I was replying to you in the MS-DEFCON 4 thread regarding KB4023057 going from 2022-04 version to 2023-01.

I can’t repro this now – what exactly were you posting?

I’ve started opening a text file and saving. If the post fails, I just copy and paste from the text file.

I’ve started opening a text file and saving. If the post fails, I just copy and paste from the text file.

I’ve been doing that for years, and not just here.  Saves on editing, too; get it right before posting.

Another tip; for a short reply such as above, I’ll copy the entirety before hitting the Submit button, and if something goes awry, I’ll just paste it back in and try again.

So you are still seeing the issue, correct?

Can you let me know if it occurs on specific posts more than others? I’ve not changed any spam or firewall settings and I have an email into wordfence.

Can everyone who was having issues on the site test it and report back if you are still having issues?

If you DID have issues, what browser/version are you using?

      Bug one:

Early Jan 24 our hoster did this:

Afterwards some – but not all – people couldn’t post.

I think it was ISP related not browser related.

Rolled back to non http3 and will report to hoster that while I on comcast/Edge could post just fine, others with Edge in the UK could not.  That leads me to believe that the issue is ISP related, not browser related.

      Hello Susan,

HTTP/3 support has been enabled on the web server for askwoody.com

We have also enabled Brotli compression by default for WEB page, CSS and JavaScript files. Benchmarks show that Brotli is better comparing to gzip:

      14% smaller JavaScript files
      21% smaller HTML files
      17% smaller CSS files

Since Brotli was designed to compress streams on the fly, it is faster at both compressing content on the server and decompressing it in the browser than in gzip. In some cases the overall front-end decompression is up to 64% faster than gzip.

You can find screenshots of askwoody.com attached running in the browser in Web development mode, with HTTP/2 + gzip and with HTTP/3 + brotli.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you notice any issue that could be related to web stack upgrade.

I had actually tested both on the test bed and in the case of the http3 didn’t see any issues.

In the case of the thanks/replies I didn’t notice it.

Sometimes many eyes find more things then testing eyes do.

In the case of the http3 we probably won’t roll that one back out as it appears to me that it’s ISPs and we don’t have control over that.
