• Excel 2013 crashes when editing

Office 2013 has worked fine on my computer since I installed it a year ago. But in the past few days it crashes every five minutes when I create a new spreadsheet. I can be typing new data in, or using the fill handle to add a series of numbers, for example. Excel then freezes up. I need to go into Task Manager, where I see that Excel is shown as Not Responding. I close it, and click the window allowing it to restart, but I lose the changes.

I’ve tried using the Quick Repair and Online Repair from Install or Change Program for Office 2013, but it does not help.

    I’m running Win 7 32 bit.

Any ideas on troubleshooting and fixing?

      Hi

..sounds like you Excel is trying to load something last saved in the Cloud perhaps???
Does it behave like this when you are not connected to the internet??

I never use the cloud. All of my data are located on my local hard disk.

        Hi

..OK, so what have you done that’s different in ‘the last few days’???
..have you changed the default printer??
        ..updated a printer driver??
        ..installed any new software??

None of those. I do install Windows Office 2013 updates when prompted. But I haven’t heard other complaints about any recent updates.

Do a system restore to a time before the mal-behavior began.
