• Excel Error (2000)

    Hello ,

    I appear to be getting an error when l load up excel.
    I would appreciate it very much if you could inform me what is causing this error (see attachment) and
    how l could go about resolving it.

      Usually, this error message has another line specifying which feature is involved. The version in your sceenshot offers little information. Try Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL by Jan Karel Pieterse.

      I have seen this error too, coming by as a result of opening workbooks that were saved in XL95/5 format. Usually didn’t cause any further trouble for me, since I could normally work in them.

      Maybe you should do a Help, detect and repair from within Excel (make sure you have the CD at hand).

        Hi,

        I tried to do Detect and Repair but still no luck. I also tried other things you suggested i.e removing temp files etc.
        But still problem is there. Any other suggestions?

          I guess best is to completely remove Office (there is a special tool available from the MS website AFAIK), then reinstall Office.
