When I click on the ‘Open with’ dialog, the window includes some applications I don’t want there. The attached ‘open_with.jpg’ shows OmniPage Pro as an option. That should not be there. Is there a way to remove it?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerJuly 27, 2004 at 10:46 pm #856542I’m just interested in why you say the OmniPage Pro application “should not be in” the list of applications available for opening jpegs.
It’s meant to be a list of applications that might be useful, and I can imagine that being able to open a jpeg directly with your OCR software could be very useful sometimes

AskWoody_MVPJuly 28, 2004 at 2:09 pm #856815I have received some jpeg images of pages of text and I can do a OCR of them.
One can use a new camera to copy a page or more of a book. It is one on the latest tricks for the “Family History” researchers. Some places will not allow one to copy a page or charge way to much.DaveA I am so far behind, I think I am First
