Find file with attached toolbar (Excel 2003 SP2)

The other day my IT person called and said she had to replace my PC. I managed to move my personal.xls file to the network. But I couldn’t remember right away how to save my custom toolbars. So I attached them to a file, thinking that would pull them across. Now, I can’t remember which of my ten billion Excel files I attached them to. Is there a way to find the file other than opening them one at a time? Yes, it’s been a long week. As always, thank you very much.

AFAIK, not only must you open each of them up, but you must check them manually. I don’t think VB has access to the Workbooks.Commandbars collection only the Application.commandbars collection. The Workbooks.Commandbars collection is only populated when the workbooks is embedded and opened within a different application [eg in WORD or Powerpoint].

And if you have “ten billion Excel files” and it takes you just a second to open and check each one, if will take you have only 3 centuries to find it (presuming you do it 24/7).
It may be simpler (and faster) to recreate your toolbars…

Would the Excel workbook still be in the list of most recently opened files in Excel?
If not, you can use Start | Search (in Windows) to look for *.xls files that have been modified during the last two days.
