I am just learning MS Access. I have a query report that generates a calendar of appointments by lawyer for the coming two week period (i.e., this report is updated, printed and distributed every Friday. An attorney may have an appointment each day or may have days where no client or court appointments are scheduled. If the query report fails to find any appointments in the two week period, it prints “no records found”. I would like to customize this message to say “No appointments scheduled”. Everything I’ve tried so far prints this message for each day no appointment is scheduled. I only want this message printed if there are no appointments scheduled for the entire two week period. Thanks in advance for any advice to rectify my confused state…………take care.

Well, Jim, I’m not clear on this, but I’ll try …

When you say …”If the query report fails to find any appointments in the two week period, it prints “no records found”. “, do you mean that instead of a calendar report OR somewhere on your calendar report this message is being printed? What is causing this message to be printed?

It sounds like you are placing your alternate message in the detail section, if it is being printed for each day there are no appointments. It would seem that, in order to address the entire report record source, it would need to be placed in a higher level section.

If you can post more detail, I can try to be more specific.
