• Hiding taskbar icons?

I’m embarrassed to ask this, but I can’t remember how to hide certain taskbar items in the pop-up corner. For example, how do I take this icon, (green arrow), and move it into the pop-up? (Red circle.)

I looked at my Taskbar settings, but I can’t find that option.

Don’t be embarrassed we all have them at some point or other 🙂
Right click taskbar > Taskbar Settings > Scroll to notification area:
choose each respectively and you’ll get the desired result.

Thanks. But I don’t see that menu item. I’m in “Taskbar settings.” But nothing called “notifications.”

      Edit: Yup Win 11.

You can’t do that with built-in functions on any version of Windows.*

But you can by using one of several third-party programs:

How to Send Windows 10 Programs to the System Tray

(* Unless the particular program includes that option.)

Thanks B. That’s what I was starting to figure out. It’s not a big deal, so I’ll just leave it alone.

      Thanks all.
