    Is it possible to hijack an Excel built-in worksheet function?

          So are you saying you want to overwrite a function so yours has the same name but a different calculation.

          I don’t think you can use your own function instead of an excel one. I think it checks the builtin ones before checking the modules in the workbook for a name.

          You can “hijack” a function from an addin (like the analysis toolpack) by creating one with the same name.

            Thanx, I’ll try putting the code in a DLL.

            Hmmm, I wonder if I could get by just putting the ccritter in a Class in personal.xls?
            No harm in trying.

          When I pleaded my case, that when I forced my way into the cockpit, I simlpy intended to replace the 747, it didn’t wash.
