I’m using windows 7 in my LapTop. Now I want to install new windows from my USB (Bootable), but KeyPad Function keys are not working. Therefore I’m unable to Boot from USB using shortcut key (F8). Is there any other way to Boot from USB? Is there any option in Control Panel to boot from USB? Plz reply as soon as possible. I’m waiting

There should be an option in the BIOS to allow you to boot from USB. I’m no expert but that’s the first place I would look.

The device ‘Boot Menu’ option is different for different makes of laptop. For example, HP laptops usually use the F9 key to display the device ‘Boot Menu’.

(The F8 key is usually reserved for the Windows Boot Menu, i.e. to display the different methods of running Windows… e.g. in Safe Mode.)

      What make/model is your laptop?

        LapTop: HP
        Windows 7: x32

Function keys are not working as KeyPad buttons are shorted.
Is there any method using Boot manager?

HP laptops use F10 to get access to the BIOS. If the function keys are not working then I don’t know a way around that.

Mr. Rick Corbett ! Thanks a million but my problem has not been solved. I want to Install windows from USB without repairing my Keypad, but now I’m going to get repaired keypad first as I considered that changing Boot location without using function key is impossible. t.c.
