I changed my MSA password today.  I am using O365, Onedrive, Outlook on my laptop and IOS devices.  I am on 14.4.2.  I am using Outlook mail app on IOS.  Outlook asked for pw update on laptop.  I was presented with a message that I need a new app password on IOS devices.  I already had an app pw for IOS (I am using MS Authenticator with 2FA turned on), so I obtained a new one by following the link.  Problem is, IOS has not asked for PW update.  I am able to send/receive mail.  I know there is no setting to go into to update the password (as there is for every other app on the planet!).  Last time I updated my password (a year ago), it took a while before it seems that IOS realized it needed a new pw and presented me with a message to update the pw.  I have shut off the app, turned devices off and back on. Still no pw update request.  Is there a way to for me to update my password on iphone & ipad?  I’m concerned I am going to get locked out.

If you are having difficulty getting Outlook for iOS to sync with your new password, delete your email account and then re-add it.

Set up an Outlook account in the iOS Mail app
(See “I want to change my password” near bottom of page.)

I am using the Outlook for IOS mail app. Not Apple Mail app, does it matter?

nevermind. I posted this and then saw the link does refer to outlook app.

Outlook, Settings, Account, Delete? (I don’t have an iPhone to check.)

How do you remove an account from the Outlook iOS app?

Aaaahhh! There it is ! How do you remove an account from the Outlook iOS app
For removing Office 365 account from Outlook for IOS:
            1. Start the Outlook for IOS.
            2. Click your profile picture and tap Settings at the bottom right of the screen.
            3. Tap the account/Slide on the account you would like to remove.
            4. Click delete account.

Thank you!  Why does it have to be so difficult??  So many different ways of doing things to remember & keep track of!

I go to Settings->Mail.  There is no option to delete.  There is “Accounts”. When I tap on that, it brings up iCloud -> tap on that and it circles back to Apple id – Name, Phone number, Email. Tap on that and it has settings for Apple id email!

Oh I just noticed a message at the bottom of my Outlook Inbox – “Please sign in to your Outlook.com account” with a link to the right to sign in.  It seems it takes some time for the software to bring up this message, I changed the password at 10am!

Still don’t see where I would be able to delete the account, if I wanted to do that.

What worked for me was this.

      Blew away the old account.

Opened Safari and cleared browsing history completely.

      Added the exchange account again.

Was prompted for the password once again.

Let me know if that works for yall.

Thanks. It’s been working since the update and hasn’t blocked me or asked for any further password updates. But it’s always good to have more tools in your kit!
