In Plain Text messages, you do not have an option to print only part of the message. You can (and I often do) choose Edit Message from the Edit menu and lop off enough to avoid getting extra pages, but this is a very inexact workaround and it gets old.

In HTML-format messages, you should get the IE print dialog.

(Note: this is based on Outlook 97/2000 and using Outlook to edit messages; I never used OL98; I do not use WordMail.)
