Less than 24 hrs. after the alert
to upgrade Flash in blogs, etc,
    the Linux Ubuntu Update Mgr.
showed the latest version of Flash for Linux,
    as “available”.

    Great…
One mouse click and I was done!
    Flash updated to latest version.

    But…
I wonder how to do the Flash upgrade “manually”,
    in Ubuntu Linux.
    ie: how to do it,
as soon as the Flash new version
    was available at Adobe’s site,
    without waiting 24 hours.

    Q:
    Anyone can outline the baby-steps
    for an immediate “manual update
of the latest Flash version ?

    Advice much appreciated!

      Try this:

        [*]Login as root user.
[*]Press Ctrl+Alt+T to open a terminal.
[*]Enter sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer then enter the root user password.
[*]Enter y when it asks you if you want to install it and wait for it to install.
[*]Launch Firefox and check that the latest Flash Player has been installed.

      Hope this helps…
