    Hello All,

    I have a spreadsheet with 100 entries.
    Each entry has:
    30093-Hyperlinks

      [*] ID # {Key in Access}
      [*]OwnerID {Foreign Key in Access}
      [*]Tax Parcel No {HyperLink in Excel that when clicked brings up the County Public Tax Records for that Parcel No}.

    When I link this .xls file to Access and then use the table in an Append Query to an existing data table the records are included, the Parcel No shows up in it’s field, blue & underlined, however the link does not work. If I edit the link the “Display Text” is there but the Address: is not!
    30094-AccessHLinks
    What am I missing here? :cheers:

      I don’t think you are missing anything. A search reveals that many peoiple have had this problem.

      Does the suggestion in this post help?

        John,

        Thanks for the reply. I loaded the UDF into my Excel workbook and added a column Named it the same as the original column then changed header for original column. Then I filled the new column with =ExpandHyperlink(D2) and copied down. Unfortunately when I went back to Access, deleted the old imported records and reran the Append query I received a Numeric field overflow message. :cheers:

        Update: John, sorry I didn’t read the comments in the UDF. It has to be imported into an Access Text field then converted to a Hyperlink field. I’ll give this a try when I can find the time. Thanks again. :cheers:
