Since I’m coming over to Windows after ten years of using a Mac, plus I work heavily with Linux servers, I’m really interested in installing Bash under Windows 10. I’d like to eventually roll an Ubuntu VM, plus I have a subscription to RHEL desktop I may also install a VM on, but it’d be great to work in Bash directly on Windows 10 when I’m not booted into a VM.

Does Windows Secrets have an article that successfully outlines how I need to go about installing Bash on Windows 10 (I do have the Anniversary Update; plus I am a Windows Secrets subscriber so I can login and read the content of the article)? I have seen some articles floating around on the web about it, but I’m not sure which ones are the most trusted and up-to-date, so I’d like to come here first for advice on it.

    Thanks!
