How do you select the back color of the selected row in a list box?

As far as I know you can’t change the backcolor for just the selected row – only for all of the listbox.

On the other hand, the selected item in a listbox is usually in inverse video, even when the focus moves to another control. What exactly were you trying to do?

If I’m not mistaken I remember a .mdb that had a list box and when an item was selecte the row was in light grey and I saw another list box with a yellow row, they both I think had white backgrounds. forgot how that was done.

I’ve even done this myself in bygone days. It is accomplished by setting the forecolor and backcolor properties of the listbox to a pair of negative numbers that I can’t find right now. Over the years, I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t like the trick so I’ve lost track of how to do it. It can have very unexpected consequences on a machine with a custom color scheme so I would recommend against it.
