Curious if anyone knows exactly why this issue happens although I’m assuming it is tied to incorrect cookie settings not tied to individual users but to an IP or MAC.

Basically, I log into our website with my account, add a random item to my cart, then log out. If I log in as a different user my cart item will still be in the cart. This issue only seems to be happening on Firefox.  I am on the latest version of FF but it is been happening over the last 3 years of dif version of FF.  IE and Chrome work as they should.

If I nuke the cookies in FF the issue goes away for a little while but eventually comes back.

Any thoughts on why this may be happening or am I on the right track?

It’s a cookie issue. Either FF doesn’t delete a cookie when it should or returns the cookie information incorrectly.

You may be able to solve it on your web site by deleting and recreating the cart cookie if a user is logged out when they connect – assuming you can change such things.

      cheers, Paul
