I have an excel workbook that i need to pdf. Once i pdf the file i need to make bookmarks. Is there an “automatic” way to make a bookmark in a pdf. The file 1500 stores that each have 20 rows. I was going to make a macro to bold face each store number and was looking for a way to automatically make these bold face rows into bookmarks in the pdf. Is that possible? thank you for the help or references.

OK this is from the Adobe Acrobat help files:

      Creating Bookmarks:

      To create a bookmark:
      1) Click the Bookmark tab in the navigation pane.
      2) Click the bookmark under which you want to place the new bookmark. If you don’t select a bookmark, the new bookmark is automatically added at the end of the list.
      3) Choose New bookmark from the Options menu.
      4) Select the new bookmark and do one of the following:
Choose View > Toolbars > Properties Bar, and choose a color and style for the test.
Right-click and select Properties. Click the Appearance tab, and choose a color and style for the text.

Note: You can open the bookmark Property dialog box by clicking the More button on the Properties toolbar.

      5) On the Bookmarks Tab, select the “Untitled” label of the new bookmark and type the text you want.

Now for an automatic way of doing all that, this may not be the right lounge area for such a question, and I am not sure if we do have an area specifically for Adobe in this Lounge. Try searching for one, or call on the Big Cheese and plead your case with him to open a new group.

[/indent]I don’t think it’s likely that we will have a separate Adobe forum in the Lounge. Questions about Adobe can be posted in the Software Finds and Wants forum. Adobe has its own forums; jha900 may have a better chance of a reply there.
