I had some trouble installing KB5033375 for Windows 11 Pro.  I used WUMgr and it seemed to have a problem downloading, giving a 403 forbidden error.  Problems also with Windows Automatic Update, but it didn’t say what they were.  I aborted the process on both tools, after trying several times, then I did a manual reboot, which started the install process.  Windows rebooted again and finished the installation process.

Everything seems OK now.  No hiccups after installation. (so far)  No Edge or Copilot.

Hello – I am confused about the recommendation on Master Patch List page (patch-list-master) vs status on the Master Patch List PDF. Specifically, I am looking at the Win 10 Versions 22H2/ 21H2 5033372 update .

If I understood the Master Patch List page, this version is recommended for update (22H2). I did not see a date posted on the Master Patch List page when the Win 10 22H2 status was set to Recommend.

However, the status for Win 10 Versions 22H2/ 21H2 on the Patch List PDF file is Defer as of 12.12.23. See attached images.

How can I confirm which source is the latest recommendation?

      Cheers

The first refers only to the feature update version, whereas the second refers to specific monthly updates.

After my update with KB5033375 my w11 home 22H2 OS build 22621.2861 is experiencing a serious slow down in operating. A full system backup that normally takes 14 minutes took 45 minutes to run. It seems to have a problem relative to reading/writing a microsdxc card that was functioning fine before the update. It also broke the wifi connection to my wireless printer/scanner that was resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the power to the printer.

Speed problem unresolved at this posting. Wanted to give a heads up to others contemplating an install of KB5033375.

      uh-oh

this Neowin article recently came out this Mon Dec. 18:

Universities recommend uninstalling KB5033375 to fix Wi-Fi issues in Windows 11 and 10

Last week, Microsoft released December 2023 Patch Tuesday updates with security fixes. However, it appears that the latest round of updates also causes headaches when connecting to specific Wi-Fi access points, especially in universities and businesses. Some cannot connect to Wi-Fi networks, and others report radical performance downgrades that make access to the internet borderline impossible.
