    Dear Woody,

I have some issue I do not know how to solve. On my other laptop which is also running windows10, after bootup (which takes ages to happen), always appears the following message: “Could not load file or assembly ‘MOM.Implementation’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified”.

Then all seems to be running, but painfuly slow and I do not know it it does not affect anything down the track. So, should I ignore it or keep resetting the computer, which seemingly does not have any effect on it, or should I try to reinstall windows10 from CD which I recently bought?  This version of windows10 I downloaded and set up a couple of years ago from internet when it was free.

I will be very gratefull for any suggestions. Thanks & Regards Arno Wilcek , Melbourne 25/01/2022.

Your problem looks to be an issue with AMD graphic cards/driver and Catalyst Control Center.

Check these links and see what you think.

      Isn’t that a .NET assembly?

I would be tempted to find the DLL concerned and drag it into \Windows\assembly to force its registration (well, it used to d0 that on XP)..

The fun bit is searching all the DLLs to find the one with that entry point.. suspect you’ll have to run up the graphics installer and grab the DLL files from somewhere in %temp% – (open %temp%, select all, start installer, invert selection and take the folders highlighted can work..) you might get lucky I guess. Suggest you place a copy of the fitting DLL somewhere sensible (like \windows \system32) before you try the drag operation, as the temp file will be removed when the installer is closed!

I seem to recall using spybot filealyzer to reveal the entry points on DLLS..

Open an elevated Command Prompt and run

      dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

      After that completes, run

      sfc /scannow

      See how that works.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!
