GuestMarch 25, 2020 at 11:07 am #2210791So 10’s Defender will automatically update itself with a “Working” Fix along with whatever new virus definition updates. But I’ll wait a few more days as I’ve been keeping my Windows 10(1809) Home laptop offline anyways waiting for DEFCON3 or above. I did have it online to get Defender updates about one week ago as my new laptop’s third party AV trial had expired and I needed to update Defender’s virus/other definitions after Defender took over when I uninstalled the third part AV trial software.
I’ve had no issues with Defender but have only used its once as the laptop 10/1809-Home laptop mostly been used while offline.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 25, 2020 at 11:13 am #2210803Fixed now on my servers.
I use O&O ShutUp10 to eliminate telemetry being sent to Microsoft. Fortunately I made an ‘OEM’ profile before making changes as to what is being sent to Microsoft.
I reverted back to the ‘OEM’ profile and the KB4052623 update was successfully install on both servers after a reboot. Apparently, no telemetry, no av platform updates, at least on the servers.
No problem on my Windows 10.1809 machines.
