Given my reservations about having Microsoft track my activities, I have created a local account and use that most of the time (this is my administrator account). However, I also have set up a Microsoft account (a standard account). I have to use the Microsoft account to get any apps for the “tiled” start screen interface (even free apps). I found a nice Wall Street Journal app and installed it – and I have seen a few other apps I might like to get. However, now I have the WSJ app in my Microsoft account – but not my local account – and as I use my local account most of the time I would like to have this app on the local account start screen. I have not been able to figure out how to copy this app to my local account, if indeed it is even possible. For prior versions of Windows, when you installed apps, often you would get the option to “Install for all users” or “Install for this user only” – it appears to me that with the Microsoft account, the only option is to install for that user. Does anyone know how to “install for all users” or to copy the application over to the local account?
