• Multi-processor tweak

    Over at TechRepublic they have an article listing 10 tweaks for Windows 7. One of them (number 9: start windows with multiple cores) appears to apply to Vista. I do not remember ever coming across this tweak and I wonder if any loungers have implemented it. I have no hard data to back this up, but it seems that it does make my boot-up times faster.

        In some of the threads I saw there was the same reaction as yours – “it seems faster”. No empirical evidence.
