I used the laptop last night with no problem but today there is no wifi connection. Device Mgr says it’s OK but I find a code 10. Failed to start.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Is your “airplane mode” off? Also check the button on your notebook.
Did you get any updates recently? It could be driver problem.

Suggest that you try a “Restart” (but NOT a shutdown/startup in case you have “Fast Startup” enabled).
This often “fixes” faults.

In the early days of feature releases I would lose my wifi/bluetooth and would have to use another computer to download a firmware update from Lenovo to get it working.

GuestApril 2, 2021 at 10:54 am #2354727Try resetting the network first. Shouldn’t need an OS refresh/reinstall, whatever.
Settings (Gear Thing)>Network and Internet>Status Network reset at bottom of Status page.
Not sure how many Dells/Alienwares we have, lots of them. This usually fixes things.
Long shot is to reboot router/modem, then recalcitrant device.
Assuming there’s no VPN or other program installed that can firewall network, weird things can happen with those programs, sometimes they have to be uninstalled/reinstalled.

AskWoody LoungerApril 9, 2021 at 1:27 am #2356180Have you thought about replacing the WiFi module?
I have seen few faulty wifi modules. You can try WiFi USB adapter, if that works. It can be hardware problem.Dell Latitude 3420, Intel Core i7 @ 2.8 GHz, 16GB RAM, W10 22H2 Enterprise
