This should be a very quick response

Just upgraded to XP in work. (Have used at home for a year or more)

Tools – Database Utilities – Make MDE (Only Make MDE is never active… )

Is this likely to be an “Extra” that the IT people have forgotten to include. Or a problem with my database?

    Thanks

It’s an XP issue – if you change the default type to 2002, or if you create a 2002 database then you can make an MDE version of it. Generally a pain-in-the neck for developers. Bottom line: if you want to make a 2000 format MDE you need 2000.

        Fantastic(!)

I suppose a work around would be to create a new database and then copy in all the code, queries and tables? (Being careful not to use any import functions) ?
Anybody tried this ??(This database has some pretty beefy forms and I’d hate to have to re create all those fiddly controls for no good reason)

Thanks for the response. That was fast even by your standards!
