Now stumbling through my old grey matter it may have been a similar piece of software by David Xantos – at least that’s all I recall of the name. It may help. Cheers.

The penny finally dropped. It was Windows Update Manager with very useful set of instructions.  If this is correct point me in the right direction. Thanks heaps.
