Open Folder button broken (6)

I have a friend whose “Open Folder” button in the “Download Complete” dialog box is broken. Google gives us no clue. If the file is downloaded to the Desktop, then the “File is on your desktop”message still works, but… if the file is downloaded anywhere else the “Open Folder” button fails to work. Any ideas? Thanks.

I do not tend to use IE for downloads on this machine, but is there not a Regsistry Key in HKCU that lists recently completed downloads? Perhaps there is a corrupted entry there oin your friend’s machine? HTH

Thanks. Problem solved — after about a week. The user admitted to partially installing WinXpsp2 — and then aborting the installation. That seemed to be responsible, as she fixed the problem by completing the installation. I appreciate the assistance.
