Greeting all, just test-driving this new(-ish) tool from OPSWAT, seems to do a good job but it picked up a rather alarming entry called “Process Hacker”. As you can see from the screen grab, neither the uninstall trash-can or the “i” details icon is available at right. I’ve run various Agent Ransack searches to try to find the Process Hacker name or the “wj32” notation below it, without success. Before I try a full AV scan in safe mode, does anyone have clues about this entry?

Process Hacker is a tool available at the Sourceforge website that allows a user to kill stubborn processes that are resistant to normal methods such as via Windows’ built-in Task Manager.  I have it installed on my Windows system and find it quite useful on occasion.  Here are a couple of links that may help you better understand its operation, and instructions for its removal if you wish to do so.

One of the first things I do on a clean install is replace Task Manager with Process Hacker. IMO it’s a very useful utility and far more informative and powerful than Task Manager.
