I checked the file, ‘s OK.

I checked the digital signature, ‘s OK.

None of my Outlook macros are running, but I am getting no error(s).

I checked the Macro security settings, and they are set to allow digitally signed macros.

Why won’t any of the macros run when selected on the Developer tab?  No error, just not running.

I “finally” got a message from Outlook that the macro file was damaged and therefore shut down.

I recreated the digital signature and reassigned it, and now all is well in HobbitLand.

I have a suggestion for you to help with future problems with Outlook. Turn on Outlook logging so in the future when something doesn’t work right you can view the log and see what happened. Outlook doesn’t generate an error message for every thing that goes wrong, but the log records all actions outlook is doing including those that didn’t work.

Logical next question is how to turn Outlook logging on.

      Turn on Outlook Logging

      • In Outlook select File > Options to open the Options window.
      • Select the Advanced tab
      • Scroll down to the Other section
      • Place a checkmark next to Enable troubleshooting logging (requires restarting Outlook) as shown in the image below.
      • Click OK to save your changes
      • Close Outlook so it will start logging when it starts again. Outlook name in title bar will indicate (Logging Enabled).

      Accessing the Outlook Log

The Outlook log is kept in a folder named Outlook Logging which is in the Users\<usernname\AppData\Local\Temp folder which is a hidden folder. The easiest way to access that folder is to enter %temp%\Outlook Logging into a run box and press Enter. File Explorer will open to the contents of the Outlook Logging folder without you having to change File Explorer’s view settings.
Look for the OMPLog which is a text document and can open in any text editor. Ignore the numerous other files in that folder. The OPMLog file has the info you can read and understand.
