    As subject line.
I report all received spam to SpamCop by forwarding as attachment from my main email service. However I also have a backup Hotmail account that is very useful from time to time when my main service is unavailable. Very occasionally the Hotmail account receives spam, but using the default outlook.live.com/owa interface I can find no way to forward an email as an attachment.
Is such a (basic) facility available? have I simply not discovered the secret key?

You’re right, such an option doesn’t exist. It can only be achieved, probably, in 25 convoluted steps (by saving as a file and attaching that):
How to Forward an Email as an Attachment in Outlook.com

Try this. Start a new email. You should still have the list of messages for the folder you had open. Drag the message(s) you wish to forward from the list and drop them in the new message. They will*become attachments.

Thanks very much Bruce & Joe.

Bruce, you are correct, ALL those steps just take too long. I want to forward spam received at my Hotmail account to SpamCop.
Joe, your suggestion requires fewer steps. Though it doesn’t work unless I choose to write my new email in a new window, and have the other messages list open in a scaled-down window.
Don’t know quite what I expected to see, but I did a test forward to myself using this technique and it seems there were lots of lines of non-text inserted before the message headers & body.
I’ll try forwarding the next Hotmail spam I receive, to see whether SpamCop is happy with the way the message arrives
If not, I probably won’t bother reporting Hotmail spam, just the spam that gets through to my own domain email account.

Worked for me in the*same window. I have the reading pane on the right (which is where the new email is constructed). the folder list of messages in the center, and the navigation pane on the left.

Just forwarded one using your method Joe. Went through fine – another Brazilian spammer reported!
My owa screen is obviously different from yours though, that sounds more like what I see in my desktop Outlook installation (Outlook 2007).

        Thanks again!
