Paying for 0Patch Using PayPal

Hello all,

$140 is too rich for my blood for a 2nd ESU, don’t want to go through elaborate and Byzantine rituals to thwart the ESU, and contacted 0Patch regarding using PayPal and a currency conversion method for buying into their product.  The answer was “Yes,”, but they qualified it with a “don’t know about the details.”

(I run a lot of open source software (LibreOffice, Thunderbird, etc) and really don’t use a lot of MSFT products save basic stuff like MSE.)

Question: Has anyone here used PayPal to pay and convert from $USD to Euros to buy into 0Patch?

Just looking to eliminate surprises…I don’t use credit cards anymore after The Equifax Hack…that caused me untold grief for years.

I’m using 0patch and have paid in Euro via Paypal (linked to a credit card) – no problems.
0patch works without any problems.
Don’t use Windows 7 much more but still have a pc with Windows 7 that I want to use sometimes.

I keep falling over at the last hurdle. One or more extension seems not to want to play. To work out price I simply use an online currency converter. That should be close enough to rule out any large surprises. You were concerned enough to ask. Imagine those who may be deterred from paying because they can’t see a price in their local currency!

When you pay in a foreign currency someone has to convert it – and charge a fee, despite claims that they don’t take a commission.
Paypal will perform the conversion for you, but it’s never at the rate shown on your currency converter – that is the wholesale rate.

I’m bought 0patch Pro (for my brother’s Win 7) and have paid in Euro via PayPal (linked to a credit card) – no problems.

I used Paypal at the time  when EOL kicked in.  What ever the conversion and fees were  in my case it was $ 25.95 plus .98 cents .  What ever it is now it’s still cheaper then 140 dollars.  0patch might have  updated their system but at the time  they weren’t compatible if you already installed ESU.

OK all, here’s the skinny, straight from the horse’s mouth:

“Hi,

There is no issue at all with ESU. Just make sure to have the latest ESU applied (January 2021) and then install 0patch Agent and purchase a PRO license. You could as well do that right now but it makes more sense to do it after you have received the last ESU to make the most valuable period of 0patch protection longest.

Installed and paid for 0patch via paypal on 1 year ESU. Paypal was fine and seems to work ok on a year 1 ESU. It claims to have patched some other programmes I had too. If does the job then they should get a green credential for saving the scrapping of many perfectly ok pcs.

I also used paypal last March to pay for a year of 0patch, the price was 22.95 euro  which I was billed $26.93.

I have been very happy with their service and would not hesitate to purchase another year. I feel the price is more than reasonable.

I just renewed 0Patch Pro for 2nd year (using PayPal).
