On a new computer, I have a preloaded application called Nahimic.  It’s an audio enhancement software that has some interesting features but is really “Ad Ware”.  I really don’t need it since generic audio drivers will work just fine.

Problem:  I’ve tried uninstalling this application using a couple of different methods:  Using the Windows uninstall and using BulkCrap Uninstaller.  Either way, the application Nahimic doesn’t fully uninstall.

Upon further investigation what’s left are lots of registery entries, service entries, an entry in the Windows Start Menu and various pieces here and there.  Even if I manually go through and delete them, the Windows Start Menu entry is still there.

I’ve also tried doing a “Windows Reset” and a factory file “Recovery Media Installation”.

Is there any way to get rid of this crappy application ?

Either Geek uninstaller or Revo uninstaller may work for you.

A quote from @b ‘s link above. Amazing – it could be describing Edge.

      Conclusion

I think it’s entirely unreasonable that something this insidious is being bundled. MSI should certainly think about what it’s forcing on its customers. At this point I will definitely buy a different motherboard from their competition as this is unacceptable.

Users overwhelmingly do not want bundled software they can’t opt out of. Especially when said software launches itself out of the blue and takes over your audio. MSI is completely tone deaf with this move. Based on what appears to be a Nahimic rep’s posts on reddit so is the company that makes Nahimic.

      Good points.

The articles linked are primarily for MSI but give some good ideas. Thanks.

At this point, I think I’ll just install a clean copy of Windows.
