power button to exit sleep — settings correct in keyboard / mouse properties

This problem started after a recent MS update.
    Do you have any suggestions?

I have to press the power button to wake up PC from sleep.
I checked the keyboard & mouse device manager properties. They are set to “allow device to wake up the computer”.

There could be similar settings in the BIOS/UEFI.  Have a look in there.

      Richard,

If you have a Dell, see this article. I had the same problem and setting the USB Wake Support  in the BIOS/UEFI fixed it so the Ctrl key now wakes my machine.

      Thanks, bundaburra & retiredgeek.

It was a bios setting. “Resume by usb device” was disabled.

I have a system I build. Ryzen 7 / MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON system board.
The setting was buried someplace strange. I found it by searching the UEFI for usb.
