I’m trying to record a presentation in PowerPoint 2013. I don’t have a microphone, so I’m just using the laser pointer. The record option is grayed out–can I record the laser pointer without a microphone?

The underscoreR means you can use a key combination to activate the Start. Try holding the Alt key down and press R. I/ve seen it possible that one can’t actually record unless there’s an audio device/source attached to the computer such as the microphone.

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"
