Is there a program or way to print a single page of a multi-page document without going to the print menu? In other words, if there is a 100 page document you are reading on the screen and you want to print only page number 48 without going to the print menu, is there a way or program that will do that by simply hitting a key or what ever? I am trying to avoid manually writing each page I want a hard copy of and then going the print menu and entering those pages.

    Thanks

      Try this:

      • Select text text you want to print
      • Select copy
      • Open text editor
      • Paste
      • Select print
      • Save as a file or not according to taste

Surely it has to do with what program you are trying to print from.

In Word or another word processor I would use a macro  (or, I should say, try to use a macro.)

Or alternatively use one of the keyboard macro utilities to do the same.

But this isn’t helpful for you specifically – better you say which program you are trying to print from and perhaps someone familiar with the program can help you.

98% of the time PDF files.

As an example, PDFelement has “Print Current View” (one page or less), but that program is not cheap:

It really does depend on which program you use to read PDF files, as it’s not practical for the operating system to be aware of which page you’re displaying.

While it goes to the print menu, using Acrobat Reader it’s three clicks.  Print icon > current > print, resume reading.

Firefox and Edge both have PDF custom page printing capability.

But only by typing a list of page numbers required, which is what the OP hopes to avoid?

I doubt whether many PDF readers have “Print current page” (although perhaps they all should).

I use Foxit Reader and in that program on the print menu you can select custom pages and just list a number of pages separated by commas and it will only print those pages. So just keep a list of the pages you want to print and do it at the end.

Sometimes half-loaf better than none. You have been presented with any number of means to print a page. Use one of them.

In Acrobat Reader, when you are viewing a page to print:
      ctrl-P, Alt-U, Enter    it prints

Then go to the next page you want. Repeat
