I’ve got a bit of a weird problem for a special need for a client. I need to find out the actual page number that printing failed at. So say I sent 100 pages to the printer, and it failed at page 66, I need that notification (and page number) back in VBA. I’d then like to be able to cancel the rest of the print job from Access. Any ideas?

I hate to discourage you unduly, but in general I don’t believe that the print spooler will know if a page jammed on the 66th page. It generally dumps a number of pages to the printer, and as far as the spooler is concerned it may think it printed successfully. The issue is somewhat dependent on the print server as well – a WinNT/2000 system works rather differently than a Win9x/Me system when it is managing printing. You might try this in the VBA forum, but I’m doubtful it can be done. If you find a solution, please post it here for the rest of us to see. Thanks.
