Greetings. I did the 1803 upgrade this evening; so far, so good. I used Disk Cleanup to remove the old version of Windows but there’s still a Windows.old folder which contains some folders but according to Windows Explorer occupies 0 bytes. If I try to delete the folder by right-clicking on it and selecting Delete, I get a message box saying “Cannot find this item. This is no longer located in C:. Verify the item’s location and try again.” My eyeballs can see the folder but Window’s can’t.

I’ve taken ownership of the folder with Tenforums’ “Take Ownership” registry hack but it doesn’t help. Has anyone seen anything like this? There are hits on the web but no solutions.

UPDATE: I tried using the RD command and it worked. Go figure. As Emily Litella would say, “Never mind”.
