Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Since latest Windows uograde 2004 I had to remove all of my 3 prg. Avast Antivirus-Avant Cleanup Premium-CCleaner. After last uograde, every time I started my PC it did a complet reset, taking as much as 10 ti 12 minutes. After calling Microsoft, thay told me to rremove all of those 3 prg. Following this microsoft demand it now take 15 secong to boot Windows. Any one with same problem.

There are numerous problems with v. 2004 that Microsoft needs to address. It is far from ready for Prime Time.
I am an Insider and had the update installed about 2 weeks before the official release. It was a bit slow getting to my desktop after entering my PIN but, I didn’t think anything about it. However, When program after program wouldn’t open (Word 365, Outlook 365, Acrobat DC, and on and on), I uninstalled back to 1909. Instantly, well sort of, all issues gone…
The General Release sneaked in on me overnight about a day after the release. This time it took a bit over 45 minutes just to get to my desktop and have it normalize enough to be able to do anything with it after entering my PIN. I didn’t even check to see if programs would open. I uninstalled back to 1909 again. Once again, desktop was usable within 30 seconds after entering my PIN. I have a Dell i5 with 16 Gb of RAM so horsepower is not part of the equation.
I am watching diligently and making sure that I keep postponing the installation of the 2004 update.
I would highly recommend that everyone postpone this update as long as possible until Microsoft can get it’s act together.
All Avast apps are not yet tested nor confirmed to work with the May 2020 Update and that’s a good reason to NOT upgrade to v2004 yet.
wait a few months until after Microsoft issues more bug fixes to v2004 AND for avast to issue software updates for their apps
