I’ve got a split database running in Access 2007 in which I attempt to enter data in a subform (any field) in the new record and I get the error:

“A problem occurred while was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control”

“” of course contains the name of my database. Now, if I open the subform outside of its parent form it works fine. Also, the subform is linked to a table that is linked back to the data accdb file, but then so is the parent form and another subform that isn’t giving me any problems.

If it matters, the following Refferences are connected:
    VB for Apps
    MS Access 12 Object Library
MS Office 12 Access Database Engine Object Library
    MS Office 12 Object Library
    OLE Automation

I tried disabling the OLE Automation reference and testing it, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this error might be appearing and how to fix it?

    Thanks.
