    What tag can I use in HTML (very basic version) to add space between a graphic and text below it? , , and adding a bunch of

    ‘s do nothing! I am unsuccessful in finding an answer on the web. Thank you!

      Can you use the
      tag for a line break (without spaces, of course)? If that doesn’t work, perhaps you could attach a snippet of your code for us.

          Remember that for every opening tag it must have a closing tag. Images are normally best nested in a p tag or h1 to 6 tag

          The BR tag is a line break

            Thank you for your suggestions. They solved the problem! I did not realize

            needed a closing tag.

              There was a time (about 12 years ago!) when it didn’t –

              was essentially the equivalent of two s. The standards have changed a fair bit since then, though, mainly to incorporate CSS.
